Paper Discs for Antibiotic Assay
Paper discs are made of pure cellulose fibers and offer high absorbency.
Three types are available for the following applications

• Antibiotic assay offered in both thick and thin.
• Detection of Antimicrobial substances in carcass.
• Detection of Benzylpenicillin in meat.

Advantec Milk Sediment Discs are made of long, refined cotton fibers and offer better results than lintine paper due to smaller retention. These filters are used to detect contaminants in dairy products and determine the amount of sediment or insoluble material present in raw milk and other dairy products. The amount of sediment found is then used to grade the quality of the milk.

Both white and black discs are available. Black discs provide a contrasting background for easier identification of white particulates.

These 12.7mm diameter filter paper discs are a standard for testing the fineness of cement using the Blaine air permeability test method.

Collect blood on the narrow end of the strip and allow to dry on the convenient drying rack for easy and efficient sample handling. Strip holds approximately 0.1 mL of blood or 0.04 mL of serum. High purity cellulose paper yields a fine, textile like structure ideal for uniform sampling.

Phase Separating Filters are hydrophobic filters that will separate aqueous and non-aqueous phases of a solution. The filter retains the aqueous phase of the mixture while the non-aqueous phase passes through.

Advantec Disposable Ultrafiltration Units concentrate up to 2 mL samples simply and with easy clean-up. Units have a built-in polysulfone ultrafilter and are offered in 10K, 50K, or 200K MWCO. Easy to use units require only syringe pressurization and do not require a centrifuge. The clear housing enables visual confirmation of the filtration process.
